CALENDAR UPDATE - On Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 the Library will open at 9:30am and on Dec. 21, 2018 it will be closed, anticipating the Christmas break. We will reopen to scholars on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

The Numismatic Cabinet or Medagliere of the Vatican Library preserves coins, medals, plaques, seals, tablets, engraved stones, sulfur and plaster casts, and other similar materials.

  • Roman engraved stones from the Imperial Period
